Inspired by a lovely blog I read often, Dill & Parsley, and a post showing a beautiful old Australian tea tin found by the side of the road, I'm inspired to share photos of my old tea tin too (thanks PK!)
There are no brand names or any other text on the tin, so no tea company to link it to...
Its currently keeping my other tea tins company!

It's lovely Tara. I hope you and the bub are well :)
This is a splendid tea tin. The sentiment does bring on a tear or two. A very special find. Thank you for sharing it, and the mention.
I was in Deloraine about 5 years ago...I have the best collection of vintage knitting patterns from a charity shop there. Also was very touched by their war memorial.
By the look of it, it's one of the earlier African wars - the Sudan or something similar. General Gordon was famously killed during the seige of Kartoum in 1880 and the British colonised much of Africa from Egypt southwards
