Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is hosting an auction on Monday the19th May, to raise funds for the Cancer Council of Australia, and I have donated this tea cosy for the sale!
Apologies for the slightly dodgy photos. I made the cosy as a very humble example of the species...as I wanted it to have a homely feel, much like Bundoora Homestead itself, under all is grandeur it it essentially a family home...and it needs a tea cosy!
The tea cosy measures aprox. 36 x 40cm, and is made of hand embroidery and freehand machine embroidery on Tasmanian wool, silk, cotton, rayon, vintage French silk and silver thread ribbon, a silver-painted model horse figurine (in honour of the ghost horse which gallops across the Homestead's garden every night...the Homestead was a very successful horse stud for many years...)
